Towers of Trebizond by Rose Macaulay. 1981 Futura edition (c/r 1956), 222 pages. Macaulay was an award-winning British author, poet, and satirist, as well as feminist and activist. Trebizond was her final novel, and also her most regarded, and is a partially autobiographical novel about faith and fidelity.
