African Stories by Doris Lessing. 1965 Popular library edition, 670 pages.  Lessing was a Nobel Prize-winning author and novelist, most known the Golden Notebook,  a novel exploring making art, motherhood, failed partnerships. In her autobiography she controversially reveals how she left her children to pursue her independence when they were young. In this volume are thirty stories about Africa, where she spent portions of her childhood.
