Opoponax by Monique Wittig. 1976 Daughters, Inc, first thus (c/r 1964). Some shelf wear to to cover, light stain on bottom half of text block, book in very good condition. This was French feminist Wittig's first novel, and much like most of her work, is about overcoming gender expectations from the point of view of a Catholic schoolgirl.

"You hear the sobs of the women in front and in back."
