Psychedelic Art by Robert E.L. Masters and Jean Houston. Edited, designed, and produced by Marshall Lee. 1968 Grove Press, first edition, 190 pages. The edition is unstated but I could not find copies online that have a stated edition. This is from the estate of the designer of the book, Marshall Lee. Included is  a letter from an artist addressed to his wife Kay Lee asking for permission to reproduce an included image. Masters was a sexologist and psychologist who pioneered the investigation into psychedelic drugs. Houston was a professor and philosopher who trained psychologists how to use psychedelic drugs in their sessions. This book includes black and white as well as color reproductions, seeks to define what makes art "psychedelic," and explores drugs effects on creativity.

Condition: Jacket in acceptable condition, wear and open tears along spine and edges. Book in very good condition, some wear to boards and fading end paper.
