Time After Time by Molly Keane. 1985 Dutton, first paperback edition, 149 pages. In the early 20th century Keane published under M.J. Farrell, then under her own name 25 years later. This book is about a rich Irish family in a crumbling mansion. Anne Tyler wrote of Keane and this book in the Washington Post: "She's as sharp-eyed as Barbara Pym, as battily comic as Beryl Bainbridge, as mordant as Jean Rhys. Bundle up warmly before you start reading this cold little dagger of a book."
