Sonnets by Bernadette Mayer, 25th anniversary edition.  2014 Tender Buttons, 121 pages. Mayer was an avant-garde poet of the New York school, a central figure in the NYC poetry scene, publisher, and was the director of the Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church for years. She pushed formal boundaries and often combined prose with poetry. Sonnets was Tender Buttons first publication and this edition includes an introduction by Mayer and unpublished archival materials.
