Egalia’s Daughters: A Satire of the Sexes by Gerd Brantenberg. Translated by Louis Mackay. 1985 Seal Press, later printing, 269 pages. Brantenberg is a Norwegian novelist and feminist activist who established women's shelters and the literary Women's Forum. Three of her novels have been published in English, her most famous of which is Egalia's Daugthers, which flips the position of the sexes in society.
